Vestrum Health is pleased to announce that it is one of only six Health IT companies to be selected to present at the 2014 Ophthalmology Innovation Summit at AAO.
The Ophthalmology Innovation Summit (OIS) was created in 2009 to facilitate meaningful interactions and business partnerships between physicians, entrepreneurs, investors and industry executives who are driving ophthalmic innovation. OIS addresses key issues – both hurdles and opportunities while showcasing the most promising private ophthalmic companies.
Tom Brogan, Chairman of Vestrum Health, states “We are very excited to join this select group of companies who are using technology to improve the way patient care is delivered.”
About Vestrum Health: Vestrum Health was founded in 2012 to provide physicians with the opportunity to unlock the value of their EHR data. The company’s innovative and patent-pending technology platform facilitates the aggregation and de-identification of EHR data for clinical research, analytics and commercialization. About OIS: The Ophthalmology Innovation Summit (OIS) was conceptualized by ophthalmologist/venture capitalist Emmett Cunningham in 2006 while participating in IBF’s annual MedTech Investing Conference. Following the conference, Dr Cunningham shared his vision with Craig Simak of IBF to develop a forum dedicated to advancing ophthalmic innovation by uniting the leading investors, physicians, entrepreneurs and corporate executives in the ophthalmology space to facilitate information transfer, deal-flow, and strategic partnerships and acquisitions. To help make the OIS vision a reality, Emmett recruited legendary venture capitalists Bill Link and Gil Kliman. Their combined efforts have resulted in the OIS franchise, which has attracted thousands of key individuals within the ophthalmic space since the first meeting in 2009.
